Welcome to Blessed Sacrament School (3rd Grade - 6th Grade)

All Saints Day Celebration

On Tuesday, October 27 our children celebrated All Saints Day!  Each child prepared a report and costume to honor the Saint of their choice for the day.  To start the morning, students viewed the video presentation on the Canonization of Fr. Joseph Walijewski.  He was the founder of Casa Hogar Orphanage. Click here to find the prayer for Fr. Joe and his Canonization!

At 9:00 the "Saints" assembled for The Parade of Saints as they headed to celebrate Mass at Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Following Mass, the children loaded onto buses and visited various locations in the community to share the story of their Saint.  Following lunch they had the opportunity for crafts and games.

To end the day, Amanda, from  Casa Hogar joined us to share the mission, activities and works of the orphanage.  She relayed stories of the children's play time, a picture slide show of the children at Casa Hogar, the town, and the facilities.  She also informed the children that the young people at Casa Hogar must hand wash their own clothes each day!!! We also learned more about Mafer, our God Child that resides at Casa Hogar. Click here to learn more about Casa Hogar.

All-in-all it was a great day!  Thank you to each and every parent volunteer, teacher and staff member that made the day possible!
