Band and Orchestra
Inspiration to Teach:
I have been very fortunate to have incredible music teachers throughout my life. My inspiration to teach comes from each and every one of them. Band was the highlight of my education from my very first day of playing my flute, and I hope to pass on my love of music to my students.
Teaching at Aquinas:
My favorite aspect of teaching at Aquinas is the students! They are polite and very hard working in instrumental music. They also crack me up every single day.
Teaching at Aquinas means being part of a tight-knit community that's hard to find in other places. Teachers, parents and principals work very hard to serve the needs of each individual student. Because of our smaller class sizes, we are truly able to know everyone. Aquinas also has very high standards for learning, which prepares students for their next level of education very well.
"Music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. No matter what language we speak, what color we are, the form of our politics, or the expression of our love and our faith, music proves: we are the same."
